What is profile management in New UI?

1. What is Profile Management?
Profile management is the process of creating and managing different profiles within a system to control user access and permissions. Each profile defines what actions a user can perform and what data they can view. Users can be created only after assigning them to a specific profile.

2. Importance of Profile Management
  1. Restricting unauthorized access to sensitive data
  2. Assigning role-based permissions to users
  3. Improving operational efficiency by giving users only the access they need
  4. Maintaining accountability by tracking actions based on roles
3. Default Profiles
By default, the system provides the following profiles: 
  1. Manager  - Full Access
  2. Customer Support - Restricted Access
  3. Warehouse Executive - Restricted Access

4. In case you want to add custom profiles, please follow the steps below.
Follow the steps below to create a custom profile:
  1. Log in to your eShipz account
  2. Navigate to Profile > Manage User

  1. Click on Profile Management

  1. Click on add profile

  1. Give the profile name and select the data access
  2. Enable all the permissions that are required for the specific profile

  1. Click on Create Profile to complete the process

5. What access options are available while creating a profile?
While creating a profile, you can define the level of data access:
Restricted Access – Limits user access based on selected permissions
Full Access – Grants complete access to all available modules



6. What permissions can be assigned to a profile?
You can configure permissions for the following modules:

  2. Parent Account Orders and Shipments access
  3. Sensitive data
  4. Overall permissions
  5. User management
  6. Analytics
  7. Tracking
  8. Fulfillment
  9. Return module
  10. Manifest
  11. Exception
  12. Integrations
  13. Company settings
  14. Reports
  15. Warehouse
  16. Redelivr
  17. COD reconciliation
  18. Accounting

7. For each module, the following actions can be enabled or disabled:
  1. View 
  2. Create 
  3. Update 
  4. Cancel 
  5. Upload
  6. Download

Note: Ensure that the appropriate access and permissions are assigned while creating a profile to maintain data security and operational efficiency.
