eShipz — Delhivery Surface Carrier Setup Guide

Step-by-step walkthrough with screenshots. Red boxes in each image mark where to click.

Step 1 — Open Carrier Configuration and search for the carrier

On the eShipz dashboard, go to Settings → Carrier Configuration (Integrations → Carriers). Use the search box to type the carrier name (e.g. "delhi").

Step 2 — Select "Delhivery" from the filtered results

Typing "delhi" narrows the "Other Carriers" grid to the available Delhivery service variants — Delhivery, Delhivery (Air), Delhivery B2B, and Delhivery Surface. Click the Delhivery Surface tile to start the setup wizard.

Step 3 — Fill Account Name

On the Account Configuration tab, enter an Alias Name to easily identify this carrier account during shipment booking and operations, and select the Account Type (Production or Testing/Sandbox).

Click Next to continue to Credentials.

Step 4 — Configure Credentials & shipment behavior

The Credentials tab shows a Service Type list on the left (SURFACE_PREPAID, SURFACE_COD, next_day, standard) — select the service(s) you want to enable.

On the right, fill in the following fields:

Note : The Credentials will be given by the carrier team as per the contract made by the custome

     Token

     Warehouse Id

     Service Type

     Volumetric Denominator

Set the following toggles based on your operational needs:

Setting

What it does

Allow Multi Pickup

Enable this when you have more than one pickup warehouse location — lets you choose which location a shipment is picked up from.

Enable Hold At Location

Allows shipments to be held at a Delhivery facility/location for customer pickup instead of home delivery.

Is QC Input By Scan

Uses a barcode/QR scan to capture quality-check input instead of manual entry.

Step 5 — Choose a Label Format (Optional — as per your preference)

This step is optional and entirely based on your preference. Under Label Settings, pick the label layout you want. Click "How does it look?" next to any format to preview a sample. If none is selected, eShipz defaults to the Delhivery Surface Custom – Default Label (A5/A4) after the shipment is created.

Step 6 — Upload Logo

You can browse and upload a logo image to appear on the labels. Valid file formats are PNG, GIF, and JPEG.

Logo upload is NOT applicable for the Delhivery Custom – Default Label (A5/A4) format. If no logo is uploaded, normal labels are generated without one.

Step 7 — Set Product Mask and Message (Optional)

This step is optional. If left blank, defaults will be used.

Product Mask — Enter a value here to display a generic name on the label instead of the actual item description being shipped. If left blank, the item description is shown on the label by default.

Message — Text entered here appears at the bottom of the label. If left blank, no message is shown by default.

Step 8 — Add a Point of Contact (Optional)

This step is optional. On the POC tab, you may add the name, phone number, designation, and email address of the contact person for this carrier account (used for operations, support, escalation, and pickup coordination). Toggle Set As Default POC if this should be the primary contact. You can skip this step and add a POC later if you don't have the details on hand.

Step 9 — Accept Terms & Conditions and Save

Read the Carrier Terms and Conditions, check "I have read and agree to the carrier Terms and Conditions," then click Complete (Validate & Save).

Step 10 — Confirm the account is active

Once saved, eShipz shows a "Service updated successfully" confirmation and takes you to the Service Configuration summary, where all setup steps (Account Configuration, Credentials, Label Settings, POC, Terms & Conditions) show green checkmarks. Two additional optional sections are also available here:

     Pincode, EDD & AWBs Uploads

     Freight Audit Settings

Finally, the Delhivery Surface account appears as an Active service under Service Configuration → Active Services, ready to use for shipment creation.

You can now create shipments using the configured Delhivery carrier.
