eShipz — DTDC B2B and B2C Carrier Setup Guide
Step-by-step walkthrough with screenshots. Red boxes in each image mark where to click.
On the eShipz dashboard, go to Settings → Carrier Configuration (Integrations → Carriers). Use the search box to type the carrier name (e.g. “DTDC”).
Typing
“DTDC” narrows the “Other Carriers” grid to the available DTDC service variants
— DTDC, DTDC offline , DTDC LTL, and DTDC LTL offline. Click the tile for the DTDC service you
want to configure to start the setup wizard.
On the Account Configuration tab, enter an Alias Name to easily identify this carrier account during shipment booking and operations, and select the Account Type (Production or Testing/Sandbox).
Click Next to continue to Credentials.
The
Credentials tab shows a Service Type list on the left (PREMIUM, PTP 1400, PTP
1200, PTP 1600, PRIORITY, EXPRESS, and more) and a Risk Surcharge list
(NO_RISK, OWNER, CARRIER) — select the option(s) you want to enable.
On the right, fill in the following fields:
● Customer Code
● Api Key
● Password
● Service Type
● Risk Surcharge Type
● Pay Basis
● Pickup Hub Code
● Tracking Token
Set the following toggles based on your operational needs:
Setting | What it does |
Enable Insurance | Turns on carrier insurance coverage for shipments booked on this account. |
Use Uploaded Awbs | Uses AWB numbers you’ve pre-uploaded instead of requesting new ones from DTDC for each shipment. |
This step is optional and entirely based on your preference. Under Label Settings, pick the label layout you want (e.g. DTDC Custom – Default Label, Label + Invoice Landscape/Portrait, 4″x6″ or 4″x3″ Thermal Printer compatible, or User Defined Label). A live preview on the right shows how the label will look before you save. If none is selected, eShipz defaults to the DTDC LTL Custom-Default Label (A5/A4) after the shipment is created.
You can browse and upload a logo image to appear on the labels. Valid file formats are PNG, GIF, and JPEG.
Logo upload is NOT applicable for the DTDC Custom – Default Label (A5/A4) format. If no logo is uploaded, normal labels are generated without one.
This step is optional. If left blank, defaults will be used.
● Product Mask — Enter a value here to display a generic name on the label instead of the actual item description being shipped. If left blank, the item description is shown on the label by default.
● Message — Text entered here appears at the bottom of the label. If left blank, no message is shown by default.
This step is optional. On the POC tab, you may add the name, phone number, designation, and email address of the contact person for this carrier account (used for operations, support, escalation, and pickup coordination). Toggle Set As Default POC if this should be the primary contact. You can skip this step and add a POC later if you don’t have the details on hand.
Read the Carrier Terms and Conditions, check “I have read and agree to the carrier Terms and Conditions,” then click Complete (Validate & Save).
Once saved, eShipz shows an “Updated credentials Successfully!” / “Service updated successfully” confirmation and takes you to the Service Configuration summary, where all setup steps (Account Configuration, Credentials, Label Settings, POC, Terms & Conditions) show green checkmarks. Two additional optional sections are also available here:
● Pincode, EDD & AWBs Uploads
● Freight Audit Settings
Finally, the DTDC LTL account appears as an Active service under Service Configuration → Active Services, ready to use for shipment creation.
You can now create shipments using the configured DTDC carrier.
