What is EDD? Where Can I view the EDD of my Shipments?
EDD stands for Estimated Delivery Date
In logistics and shipping, the EDD is the projected date or timeframe when a shipment is expected to arrive at its final destination.
It's a crucial piece of information for both businesses and customers as it helps to manage expectations and provides transparency throughout the shipping journey.
The EDD is an estimate, not a guarantee. It is calculated by the courier partner's system based on various factors, including:
- The shipping method selected (e.g., Express, Standard)
- The distance between the origin and destination
- The courier's transit time and service-level agreements (SLAs) for that specific route
- Public holidays, weekends, or other potential delays
